In this article, you will learn how to create restrictions from scratch, configure their conditions and add them to the items.
Creating Restrictions
Restrictions can only be created from scratch. It is not possible to add to existing restrictions. To create a new restriction, go to the Restrictions tab and click + Add Restriction.
In the new tab, click Create Restrictions from scratch.
Enter the code and click Create Restriction.
Now that you have created your restriction, double-click to open the editor, go to the Combinations tab, and select the feature you want to control.
After selecting the feature, a list of options will appear. To create the restriction, you must select the option and then create the condition next to it.
By clicking the + icon next to the selected feature, you can add further conditions to the restriction.
There are three ways to create the constraints. Clicking on the first box in the row will select all the options in that row, the same for the column, or you can select separately the options that combine.
Once you are finished, to save the restriction, click Save.
Linking restrictions to items
Once a restriction is created and linked to a feature, it can be applied to an item.
To apply the restriction, the item must have this feature assigned.
To link the restriction to items, return to the Items tab, select the items by checking them, click the Actions button, and choose Link Restrictions.
A list of all restrictions will be displayed. Select the required restriction, click Use Template.
Click Save to apply the changes to the items.
Import and Export Combinations
You can import and export CSV files of the combinations simply by clicking Import or Export, located in the upper right corner.
The combinations are exported in .csv format. You can update the cell values (setting them to TRUE or FALSE) and then import the file back into Restrictions.
