Content Studio - How to configure catalog visibility and access

This article explains how to configure catalog visibility and access across different applications (Design, Fusion, SpacesFlex, etc.).

Proper configuration ensures catalogs appear only in the intended applications and for the appropriate users.

Configuring Catalog Access

Follow these steps to configure catalog access:

  1. Go to the Catalogs tab  in the main menu
  2. Select the required catalog from the list
  3. Open the Authorization section of the Catalog settings
  4. Go to the Access section
  5. Locate the Domains access setting
  6. Enter the required domain in the Domain field

  7. Click + to add it to the list

To allow access from all domains:
Enter * in the Domain field.

Important: Adding * (all domains) makes the catalog visible in all applications (Design, Fusion, SpacesFlex, etc.). Ensure you only release the catalog to the intended applications and users.

Application-Specific Configuration

SpacesFlex

For catalogs intended only for SpacesFlex application:

  • Set the specific SpacesFlex domain access
  • Do NOT use * (all domains) – this will expose the catalog to other applications
  • Disable Country and Product access settings

Note: SpacesFlex operates in anonymous mode (users are not logged in), so country/product filtering does not apply.

Design and Other Applications

For catalogs intended for Design, Fusion, or similar applications:

  • Enable Country and Product access settings
  • Country access is determined by the user's registered account country
  • Filtering applies only when users are logged in (authenticated mode)

Access Control Logic

Anonymous Users (SpacesFlex)

  • Users are not logged in
  • Country and product filtering does not apply
  • Access is controlled by domain only

Authenticated Users (Design, Fusion)

  • Users are logged in
  • Country is retrieved from the user's account registration
  • Country and product filtering applies

  • https://dev-planner.cyncly-idealspaces.net
  • https://qa-planner.cyncly-idealspaces.net
  • https://uat-planner.cyncly-idealspaces.net
  • https://testhub-v1-deve.cyncly-content.net
  • https://testhub-v1-stag.cyncly-content.net
  • https://localhost:44301

Allowed domains in Production environment:

  • https://planner.cyncly-idealspaces.com
  • https://testhub-v1.cyncly-content.com
