There are three pricing files that are required for each catalog:
- Price Rules – there is only one of these per catalog, it contains details of how to calculate the price of items.
- Price Value – this file is different for each Price List.
- Price List – there is only one of these per catalog and lists all of the Price Lists that have been created.
The Price Value file will be the only file that is different for each Price List. The Price Rules and Price List files are set at Catalog level. These files can be exported and imported into Content Studio as .csv files or .json files.
Explore the two export/import methods outlined below.
Method 1
The Price Rules datapack can be exported and imported on its own by following the steps below:
- Navigate to the Catalog you require.
- Select the Price Rules tab.
Select the option Export Price Rules in bottom right corner.
- Unzip the download and make the changes you require. Right click the folder and select the option Send to > Compressed zip folder.
Back in Content Studio select the option Import Price Rules. Navigate to the zipped folder and select Open in the file explorer.
- The updated Price Rules will now apply to all of the Price Lists associated to the Catalog.
Method 2
You can also click the Actions icon next to the catalog name, and select the required Import or Export option.
