The best way to create price lists is within Content Studio. Price lists are identified by a specific code and name and hold information about the currency and effective dates of the pricing contained in that price list. This allows manufacturers to keep historic pricing or provide promotional pricing during a given time period.
Follow the following steps to create a price list:
- With your catalog opened, go to the Pricing tab.
- Select the Price Lists tab.
-
Click New price list in the bottom right corner.
-
Enter the details required and click Save.
Consider the following guidelines when entering the details:
- Code and Description are selected by the user.
- The Currency option uses a real currency, and Points is a generic measurement.
- The dates are from the effective date to the expiration date.
If there is more than one active and available list on the Price List at the same time, the last one created will be taken into consideration for use.
- The new Price list will now be available in the table. Add a new price list file by following the steps in this article: Changing the price files.
Note: If a price list is deactivated but items have refCodes and the catalog has price tasks enabled, the items will still appear in the item list. However, since no active price list is available, items display as "price not found".
