The Authorization tab allows manufacturers to require users to request access to their catalogs.
Permission to use a catalog is granted at a company level. Once access is granted to one user at a company, all users at that company will have access to the catalog.
For more information on access roles, see this article.
Cloud Catalogs are set as Public or Needs Authorization when the catalog is created.
- Public catalogs are available to all users
- Needs Authorization must be approved by the manufacturer
Cloud catalogs that require authorization have an automated process where users can request access to the catalog in their Cyncly applications, and manufacturers are able to approve or deny their request within Content Studio. Automated emails notify both parties of the authorization request status.
Accepting or denying requests
Step 1: Receive request
An email is received from the requestor. The manufacturer should go to the Authorization tab in Content Studio to approve or deny the request.
Step 2: Select the catalog
Select the catalog to view a list of requests for that catalog.
Step 3: Filter by status
To see all pending requests, select Pending from the Status list.
Step 4: Approve or deny
Click on the user and approve or deny the request.
NOTE: Users can be Approved or Denied but cannot be set to Pending again.
NOTE: Access to the Authorization tab in Content Studio requires the user to have an Authorization role enabled.
